It all started on Mother’s Day amidst the roar of engines at La Jolla Cars and Coffee. Dez and I packed up the camera gear, hit the road, and set our sights on a massive cross-country journey to celebrate the upcoming Route 66 centennial.
The goal was simple: experience the Mother Road in all its quirky, historic glory, capture some real art along the way, and document the entire process. We timed the drive perfectly, eventually rolling into Chicago right on the 20th anniversary of the movie Cars—a pretty fitting end to a road trip fueled by automotive history and nostalgia.
We saw it all, from the neon signs of classic motels to the kind of stunning landscapes that make you pull over just to get the shot. Now, we’re bringing the whole adventure to you.
